Upcoming Shows: Beat Street Jam, BeyRihNicki Tribute Party, Aaries, JoJo, and Vince Staples

Our friend Steve McKie, along with Bassic Black Entertainment and Love My Life Entertainment, will be presenting Beat Street Jam on Tuesday, October 13th at Silk City. The jam session will feature performances from Aaron Camper, Chris Turner, Ebony Joi, and Killiam Shakespeare. Tickets are $10 at the door.

So, there’s a party happening praising the Holy Trinity. No, not the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit but Queens Beyonce, Rihanna, andNicki Minaj. (Saints, don’t come for me.) Sissy Hop will take place on Thursday, October 15th at Dolphin Tavern from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Anybody available to reenact the “Feelin’ Myself” video with us? Click here for more information.

The local sisters known as AAries, who just put out an amazing EP entitled Got Ur Request(We’ve been sobbing to “For You” for the last two months), will be performing at Johnny Brenda’s on October 24th. The show will be hosted by our girl Laiya St. Clair and will feature a DJ set from DJ Afrodjiak. RSVP here.

The recently free (meaning free from her horrible record deal) JoJo will be performing live at CODA on Wednesday, November 4. JoJo recently released not one, not two, but three singles at the same damn time. While we aren’t jumping up-and-down about any of the “Tringle"tracks, her voice is undeniable. Can’t wait to see her live! Tickets go on sale tomorrow!

Fresh from opening for A$AP Rocky and Tyler the Creator, Cali rapper Vince Staples will be performing at Union Transfer on December 2. If his life performance is anything like his amazing album Summertime ‘06, we should be in for a very special treat. Tickets are available for purchase now.
